I couldn't be more pleased, I don't think. Especially for the price, this is a great lens. I use it as my primary lens most of the time, unless I really need to get up close. And the telephoto range is sufficient to be very satisfactory for most distance shots. Yes, there's a fair amount of plastic in it - it's light! But it doesn't have a feel of being "cheap." The vibration reduction really does work nicely (and I was skeptical). Optics quality is also quite good - excellent value for the money.Customer Review: EXCELLENT!!!

I bought this lens to take photos at Ironman Louisville. The photos came out great. While shooting during the bike portion of the event, I set my camera (a Nikon D50) to manual mode and shot in the continuous mode. The lens accomodated quickly and I had no issues with focusing. If you have the 18-55 kit lens that came with your Nikon, this is the perfect companion. For such a low price, this has good sharpness, pretty fast autofocus, VR that works, and is compact enough to leave on your camera for everyday use.
